This summer we helped our colleagues kickstart their journey to feel good, partnering with none other than Joe Wicks, the Body Coach.
We all know our mental and physical health go hand in hand and our diet and exercise can have a big impact on our energy levels, sleep, and happiness. But boy, can it feel hard to get motivated!
Through this partnership with Joe Wicks, aim was to help colleagues find that little bit of extra motivation through Joe’s passion and enthusiasm for making exercise and healthy eating easy and accessible to everyone. His fitness mantra of keeping things simple and focusing on the ‘little wins’ each day inspired so many of our colleagues.
We kickstarted the month with an inspirational personal message from Joe talking about the transformative benefits of exercise on both our mental and physical health, some encouragement for colleagues to focus on today and the little wins, as well as a great offer for the Body Coach app exclusive to Sainsbury’s colleagues to help them get started.
There really was something for everyone no matter their health goal. Joe created a series of on-demand 15-minute workouts for the beginner, those wanting to get the whole family involved and an intermediate workout for colleagues who were looking for something a little more intense.
We shared a series of delicious, simple, and budget-friendly recipes to help colleagues re-fuel after their workout or to simply enjoy with the family.
Colleagues really engaged with the campaign and inspired us throughout the campaign by sharing what ‘little wins’ they were focusing on throughout the summer and beyond to take care of their mental and physical health.
Here are just some of the little wins our colleagues are focusing on:
