Sainsbury’s cuts the ribbon for new store in Banbury

New convenience store opened its doors on 18th October 

The residents of Banbury have a new and convenient place to do their shopping from today, with Sainsbury’s officially opening the doors to another convenience store at 7am. The store offers quality food for fantastic value, has created 12 jobs and will trade from 7am-11pm Monday to Sunday.

The new convenience store was officially opened by the Town Mayor of Banbury, Councillor John Colegrave and offers an excellent range of fresh fruit and vegetables, dairy products, a fresh bakery and other convenience products. The store also includes a Costa coffee machine and Click & Collect for Argos and Tu clothing.

Sainsbury’s Local in Banbury will also play an active role in the local community, including supporting Banbury Foodbank. The convenience store will also support Sainsbury’s nationwide community programmes.

Patrick Dunne, Sainsbury’s Property Director said: “We’re very proud to open this store to our customers and are confident residents and visitors will enjoy this convenient new store that offers fresh food and convenient products alongside Sainsbury’s renowned customer service. Thank you to everyone involved in getting this store ready for customers.”
