An update for Argos customers from our CEO, Simon Roberts

Dear Customer,

I am writing to let you know that, following government guidance in England, all Argos stores on high streets, in shopping centres, retail parks and within Sainsbury’s will remain open for click and collect purchases. 

However, you will only be able to collect products you have already ordered and paid for online from these locations.

You can find more information on our website about changes we’ve made to stores in England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland to keep you and our colleagues safe. You can also find information about your local store on our store locator page.

I also wanted to share some of the changes we’re planning for the future – which you might have heard about in recent reports.  

Many of you have told us that you want more options to choose how and where you shop with Argos and that you love our Fast Track home delivery and click and collect services. 

Following that feedback, we’re going to open 350 more Argos stores and collection points in Sainsbury’s over the next three and a half years.

This will make it easier for you to collect your Argos orders – whether you just pop in to pick up your Argos purchases or combine your Argos shopping with your regular shop at Sainsbury’s.

As we improve our website and open more collection points and Argos stores within Sainsbury’s, we won’t need as many Argos stores as we have today and so some of these stores will close – but we will ensure that collection points are never far away and many will be closer to your door as a result of our changes.

Overall, we plan to have a similar number of Argos locations in total, including hundreds more collection points and Argos stores in Sainsbury’s than we have today. The changes we’re making will also mean we can improve the range and number of products that we can get to you the same day, whether in a store or at home.
