Sainsbury’s launches new Catford Local store

Sainsbury’s is pleased to announce that its new Local store at Catford, South East London, will officially open its doors for trading on Thursday 22 November at 7am, offering local residents a convenient choice of quality food for fantastic value.

The new 2,900 sq ft. store is conveniently located next to two stations, Catford Station and Catford Bridge station and will trade from 7am-11pm, seven days a week. Local residents and commuters will benefit from an excellent range of fresh fruit and vegetables, dairy products, an in-store bakery, drinks, sandwiches and snacks along with other convenience products.

The store’s local charity, Young Lewisham, will be attending the launch at 9.30am to officially open the store and welcome the first customers along with the new store manager, Sajid Hameed and pupils from nearby Rathfern Primary School.

Alongside the 27 new jobs it is bringing to the area, the new store will play an active role in the local community, supporting a local charity and Sainsbury’s nationwide community programmes and charity partners.
