Shave time at Sainsbury’s this Christmas

Shave time at Sainsbury’s this Christmas

In time for Christmas Sainsbury’s is partnering with Timpson to trial barbershops

It goes without saying that we’re all busy at Christmas, buying special gifts and making sure everything looks great for the festive season – including ourselves. So it’s no surprise to see Santa stopping by Sainsbury’s for a spot of Christmas shopping - and a beard trim thanks to Timpson!

The Santa sighting reveals Sainsbury’s has grown its successful partnership with Timpson by setting up barbershops at two existing Sainsbury’s stores in Cheshire. Offering cuts, beard trims and close shaves for all ages, customers – and Santa - will find it even easier to get ready for Christmas.

With traditional Timpson stores already providing key cutting and shoe repair services at 155 Sainsbury’s supermarkets, the barbershops bring customers another essential service in an easy and convenient location.

Timpson’s barbershops are currently open just outside the Sainsbury’s Nantwich and Chester supermarkets. If successful, Sainsbury’s will look to rollout more in the New Year.

James Timpson, CEO of Timpson, said; “We’re really excited to expand our successful partnership with Sainsbury’s and bring two fantastic barbershops to customers in Nantwich and Chester. Our skilled barbers will be on hand to offer customers a speedy shave and exceptional service so they can look sharp for the Christmas season, just like Santa.”

David Pilbeam, Head of Festive Grooming at Sainsbury’s, said: “We’re delighted to expand our successful partnership with Timpson to now include barbershops, supporting our strategy to make Sainsbury’s stores a convenient place to shop – worth a trip from the North Pole! We know our customers are busy, particularly during the festive season and so we’re always looking for new and innovative ways in which we can make their lives easier.”
