Drizzle your lunch in Middle-Eastern goodness

Drizzle your lunch in Middle-Eastern goodness

13 February 2014

Finding a quick lunch option that’s both bursting with flavour and packed full of goodness can often be a tall order. However, from 29th January Sainsbury’s customers will have the perfect solution with new ‘Drizzle Pots’ which are additions to its already popular My Goodness! range.

Inspired by Moroccan street food and infused with Middle-Eastern flavours, ‘Drizzle Pots’ provide a warming, filling lunch which are high in protein, packed with vitamins and ready to eat in minutes. Each meal also contains a pot of cooling sauce to drizzle on the food after cooking for an authentic taste.

  • Warming Ras-El-Hanout Chicken – Marinated British chicken, couscous and spelt blended with pumpkin seeds, topped with pomegranate and a ras-el-hanout drizzle.
  • Aromatic sweet potato falafel – sweet potato and chickpea falafels with a blend of spiced quinoa and couscous in an apricot and mango dressing and a cumin infused yoghurt drizzle.
  • Moroccan Spiced Pork with Red Rice - British pulled pork with rice, green and red lentils, butternut squash with a zingy lemon, chilli and ginger drizzle.

Like all My Goodness! meals they provide at least one of your five recommended daily portions of vegetables and are low in saturated fats and calories – ideal for customers who want to stick to a healthy diet without sacrificing flavours.

My Goodness! is Sainsbury’s own brand ‘naturally good’ range and this month it celebrated its first anniversary by reporting its best ever week of sales.  The most popular dishes are King Prawn King Prawn Linguine, Smoked Haddock Risotto and Roasted Squash Risotto all which offer customers a quick evening meal that is healthy and delicious.
